Physiotherapist
JJ graduated with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy from the Australian Catholic University and a Master of Physiotherapy from the University of Sydney. He now works as a Physiotherapist in private practice, treating the general population alongside athletes and active adults across AFL, basketball, endurance running, Hyrox, and general gym training. He also provides physiotherapy coverage for AFL Women's football on weekends, and continues to work within the NDIS space, drawing on his combined background in occupational therapy and physiotherapy.
With his collective experience across a variety of clinical settings and age groups, he has developed strong clinical reasoning and communication skills across the life span.
He recognises that people are unique, with different needs, interests and presentations. He approaches sessions with a person centred mindset, building a partnership with participants and working with them as experts in their own situations, working together towards their goals.
Outside of work, JJ is focused on his own training, currently preparing for a marathon and Hyrox events, alongside regular strength training. He also enjoys basketball, and follows an array of sports including rugby league and Formula 1. He plays the piano and guitar, is fluent in Tagalog (Filipino)
